City Soul at Harry Joy’s Kitchen

Deep in Melbourne’s city laneways, nestled between high rise buildings, delicious aromas rise from Harry Joy’s Soul Kitchen. For those who are searching for the real Melbourne experience of city café life, you need look no further.
While Harry Joy’s stakes a claim in our city’s vibrant café scene, it also has a new edge in both its food and design. Owner Francis Placentino is already a successful café operator, and has poured his passion into creating this stylish, vintage-influenced café space.
There is a dedicated barista space at the entrance which is surrounded by long benches and chairs on a higher level. You can look down at your barista preparing your coffee in this ‘stadium’ style set up. The ceiling panels are covered with vintage fabric, and there is an abundance of colour and lighting to make the visitor feel warm and relaxed.
The food on offer at Harry Joy’s is European in flavour, with plenty of fresh produce and even a cabinet of cured meats and cheeses – used in the paninis and dishes served daily, or freshly sliced and wrapped to take home. Harry Joy’s has just launched its catering service into the city as well.
Five Senses ‘Crompton Road’ (formerly Brazil Blue) blend is served, as well as a weekly single origin offering. Whether you are after a Five Senses hit in the middle of the city, or want to cosy up for a relaxed long lunch, don’t go past Harry Joy’s.
