Mostly we want to cup super-delicious coffee, but sometimes you get something nasty.

Following on from our look at the SCA Cupping Sheet and with our next Q Grader course coming up in March, we thought we’d explore the equally important but less sexy world of defects. While not a tasty experience, understanding what defects you’re tasting and what causes them to occur can be invaluable knowledge.

At this months’ curated cupping, we’ll be spiking normally clean coffee with specific defects and explaining how they can occur.

Don’t worry though, we’ll make sure there’s more than enough tasty coffee on hand too!
