You know how people say that humans look like their dogs? Well, Duck Duck Bruce follows the same concept. I’ve never seen a café look and feel more like its creators than Duck Duck Bruce does. Charlie and Sean Merry and James ‘Woody’ Woods, while veterans of the hospo game, are celebrating their burgeoning café-owner careers and they’re kicking it off in style with Duck Duck Bruce. They wear their hearts on their sleeves and have an honest charm that is simply unmatched in my experience.
The fit out is clean and white, filled with raw timber, artwork and plenty of garden spaces to make you feel welcome.
The food is exceptional, overflowing with fresh, healthy, guilt-free options.
‘It’s not easy being green’ – a smashed avo dish with a twist comes highly recommended. And if you happen to be nursing a hangover, there’s the aptly named, ‘The morning after the night before.’ A pretzel bun holding bacon, more bacon and other delicious things, it’s guaranteed to counteract the excesses of the previous evening!
A beautiful 3 group Gen2 Synesso Hydra anchors the coffee programme, pushing out our famous Crompton Road blend. The ground espresso is weighed and the extractions are timed to ensure the customer is getting something we’re all proud of. Their juice game is incredibly strong too; all made to order with a library of fresh ingredients that will make your head spin and your blood sing!
And watch this space! Duck Duck Bruce plans to start opening later into the evening, offering Indian street food-inspired dishes for dinner. Guaranteed to warm your soul and your bellies.
