Thanks to everyone who was able to join us on Monday 4th May 2020 in our inaugural Explorers Edition cupping. We had a blast, and it was so great to cup alongside you all and showcase the stunning coffees from our friends at Acacia Hills.

The live event was presented by Ben Bicknell (certified Q Grader instructor) and he was joined with Matt Slater (Director of Coffee / Management Consultant) and Jay Holland (WA Head Roaster). Together they discussed the varieties on the table, what our relationship with Acacia Hills means for us and eventually the three delicious coffees were tasted side by side.

If you lucked out and missed the live event (or you loved it so much you would like to re-watch), you can find the full recorded version here:

We were fortunate enough to get some footage from Aideen and Leon Christianakis in Tanzania and also Mark Stell in Portland. Learn a little about the farm’s history, some challenges encountered and their experiences with trying new coffee varieties. Bonus: at the end Leon explains the trouble they’ve had with wild elephants and how they’ve mitigated the damage!

We featured these three delicious coffees from the farm at our cupping. If you missed out (or want to grab your favourite!) get a bag before we run out!
