Explorer Cupping: Zukuka Bora

Five Senses CoffeeNicole Novak 12 August 2020

With our Limited Release coffees from Uganda recently entering our line up, we felt it was perfect timing to host the Five Senses Explorers Edition, three point oh! We took this opportunity to delve into our relationship with the Zukuka Bora Coffee Company and get to know more about this stunning origin and the coffee community turning out these unique lots.

We’re all fans of the delicious flavours and aromas of coffee; with the Explorer’s Editions, we wanted to help you understand more about the people, land and journey behind each of these coffees. We believe that even a little added knowledge in this area brings a whole other level of appreciation for the beverage we love.

Explorer’s Edition #03 was hosted by Ben Bicknell and we were lucky enough to secure a good enough internet connection to have guest presenters Dave Bishop (Operation Director, Zukuka Bora), Ivan Khaukha (Operations Manager, Zukuka Bora) join us live from Uganda! Adding to the perspectives was fellow roaster, Sam Keck (GM/Founder, Commonfolk Coffee Company) who offered some great insights into how the project has progressed over the years.

Like our previous Editions, a pack of three delicious coffees from Zukuka Bora were available to order and taste along with us live. These coffee’s are currently still roasting so if you missed out (or want to brew up more of your favourites!), head over to our shop to order a bag.

If you missed it…
