"Welcome to Five Senses Coffee"

This week, the Catering Institute of Australia (WA) honoured the industry’s finest with their annual Gold Plate awards, held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. We felt a bit like proud parents when we heard that Hubbles Yard, one of our favourite 5 Senses cafés, took out the award for best Coffee Shop.

It was no mean feat for Hubbles Yard owners, Eleanor and Fabio Hupfer, as they competed against entrants from all across Western Australia … city, metropolitan and country areas alike. When you consider that Eleanor and Fabio have only been working their magic at Hubbles Yard for a year, their accomplishment seems even sweeter.

Judges from the Catering Institute put finalists to the test, visiting each establishment several times to ensure that there was consistency.

All of us here at 5 Senses are sending up a big cheer for Eleanor, Fabio and the hardworking Hubbles Yard team, Sandro, Benjamin, Cath, Trish and Mali.
