Positive Impact

Five Senses founder, Dean Gallagher, has had a lifelong passion for delicious specialty coffee, people and sustainability. Since its inception, the company has striven to be a force for good, reaching beyond those in the speciality coffee supply chain.

With an unwavering desire to make a positive impact, Dean’s personal desires became company foundations. Whether at origin, local projects or international certifications, our motivation to ‘do good’ is cultivated throughout all aspects of our business.

Tiga Raja Mill

2013 - PRESENT

Dear to our heart, Tiga Raja is the coffee mill in northern Sumatra we purchased in
2013. Five Senses gifted equity of the mill to a local farming cooperative primarily for ownership, relationship and traceability. We are so proud of this coffee and confident it is some of the cleanest processed coffee to come out of Indonesia. Moving a community one small step further from poverty is a wonderful depth of flavour beyond cup quality alone.
